It is Jumaada Al Awal, 1772 AH (March, 2341 AD). Earth is under attack by a shadowy extraterrestrial race called the Kytaan. The attacks are as inexplicable as they are brutal. Simultaneously, a decades-old Anarchist movement has seemingly taken to violent means, plunging the planet into cycles of terrorist attacks and counter-insurgency destruction.
Jenna Yameen, the over-achieving daughter of a famous Arab archeologist, starts her story in the midst of this brutal violence. Jenna subsequently discovers the simple artifact, a Tablet, that her father spent a lifetime seeking.
Yet it is infinitely more than it seems and becomes the source of division within Earth's own military alliance. When Jenna deciphers a message from the Tablet, she must depend on Hasan Gabriel, a tough Bedouin fighter pilot who is as devout as he is blind, to take her on a dangerous mission—unsanctioned even by the Earth Alliance.
At stake: mankind's very survival. Nonetheless, her mission is dramatically reduced in scale, launched before preparations were complete, and her ship severely damaged at the start.
